So I must definitely say that of all the things that happened a week ago, by far my favorite was the authentic French bakery that we found up in those Rocky Mountains. While getting a much needed break from their child, the mom and I went walking around Main St. in Breckenridge. Mostly needed because that kid was up laughing and babbling nonstop beginning at 5 am in a tiny hotel room (supposedly their suite size yet smaller than most regular hotel rooms). Anyhow we were walking around the shops and we notice that there is a little bakery down the stairs and go in. OH MAN!! As soon as we walk up to those doors this amazing aroma is filling the air! Inside you hear French music playing, see all sorts of baked goods oh so delicious, and the owners are speaking with authentic French accents. We buy 3 treats, a fruit tart with strawberries on top, a apple and almond tart, and then a triple chocolate dessert. All end up tasting fantastic although I personally did not care for the apple and almond tart. We ended up going back ! and bought croissants to eat for breakfast on the day we leave. Mine was a chocolate croissant and even though it was a day old and reheated, oh man it tasted amazing! Definitely my favorite part of the trip :)
